Problem

What we'd like to do is evolve our current logo. This is what it looks like today: The website adds the text "ESLint" to the right of the logo. While we generally like the logo, it seems like it's time for a refresh (I'm think of a refresh along the lines described in this Node.js issue). What we're looking for: 1. An iteration on the existing logo - so not a complete redesign 2. Still using one or more shades of purple 3. Typography to go with the logo 4. Something that works well with black-and-white, 3-4 colors, as well as full color Our goal is to have a logo that is fit for use on stickers, tshirts, the website, and more. Note: we are a team of volunteers with no budget who donate our time to the project, and as such, this is a request for a donyof your design skills for the project. We will happily give you credit for your work. <bountysource-plugin> Want to back this issue? Post a bounty on it! We accept bounties via Bountysource. </bountysource-plugin>

  1. 1

    Design Logo Iteration

Create a new logo iteration that maintains the essence of the existing logo while introducing modern design elements. Focus on using one or more shades of purple to align with the brand identity.

  2. 2

    Select Typography

Choose a modern and clean typeface that complements the new logo design. Ensure the typography is legible in both small and large sizes, and works well in black-and-white as well as color formats.

  3. 3

    Create Color Variations

Develop color variations of the logo that work in full color, 3-4 colors, and black-and-white. This will ensure versatility for different applications such as stickers, t-shirts, and the website.

  4. 4

    Gather Feedback from Team

Present the new logo iteration and typography choices to the volunteer team for feedback. Make adjustments based on the team's input to ensure the final design resonates with the community.

  5. 5

    Finalize and Implement Logo

Once feedback is incorporated, finalize the logo design and prepare the necessary files for implementation across all platforms, including the website, merchandise, and promotional materials.

Validation

Confirm the new logo is visually appealing and meets the design criteria by conducting a survey among team members and stakeholders. Ensure the logo is adaptable across various mediums and retains clarity in different sizes.
