Is there a way to read partitions from Windows? If so, what can I do?
How to search for selected text in Vim?
I'm aware that I can use / followed by a regex to search something. And I can use ? to search backwards. And I can use n and N to repeat the search forward and backward. There are also two nice shortcuts: * or # will search for the word under the cursor (forward/backward). That's very useful! (there are also g* and g# variants) But... Once I've selected text using visual mode (v), how can I ask Vim to search for exactly that text? A quick look at did not... huh... help me.

In Snow Leopard the Play / Pause media button (on the F8 key) opens up iTunes. How can I disable that? Preferably keeping the old Leopard behaviour, so I can use it to control other media applications (e.g. Spotify).
What utility can move my Windows boot partition over to another hard drive?
Can anyone recommend a cheap/free utility that can do this without very much effort? My preference is that it would be really easy. Boot into Windows Pick drive to move Pick target drive It copies everything over, and reboots to the correct partition.
Getting colored results when using a pipe from grep to less
I use the --colour option of grep a lot, but I often use less as well. How can I pipe grep results to less and still preserve the coloring. (Or is that possible?) EDIT: I'm looking for a direct solution or anything equivalent to this.

shortcut to manually Reload file from Disk
Now that I can turn off the annoying Reload popups, I would like a quick way to manually reload the file I am working on in NotePad++ via the keyboard. Looking at the File menu, does not have a shortcut. Is there a hidden shortcut that you know of or someway to map one built-in?
How to turn off Reload alerts?
In NotePad++, I generally run with a few files open. These are log files that are continually updating. I get annoyed when NotePad++ resumes focus and I get a stack of popups informing me that some of my open files have been updated 'by another program,' and would I like to reload them. I would like to turn this alert off and manually reload the files when it is convenient. I've looked but I cant seem to see the option. Is there a way to do this?
PowerShell equivalent to the Unix `which` command?
Does PowerShell have an equivalent to the command found in most (if not all) Unix shells? There are a number of times I'd like to know the location of something I'm running from the command line. In Unix I just do , and it tells me. I can't find an equivalent in PowerShell.
Notepad++ find and replace string with a new-line
Consider the scenario where you have a specific string that you want to find-and-replace. You want to replace it with a new string that contains a newline character (or character sequence). In the scenario above, I'd like to find " " and replace the space with a carriage return/newline. The results would look like: etc... Question: How would you most easily achieve this using Notepad++? Are there any other tools that you'd suggest to easily perform this command?

How do I disable the warning Chrome gives if a security certificate is not trusted?
I want to know if it's possible to disable the warning you get in Chrome when you try to go to some HTTPS site that doesn't have a trusted certificate. I have a few sites in my bookmarks that use HTTPS but none of them have trusted certificates, so each time I visit them I manually have to click "Proceed anyway" in the warning and it's getting kind of annoying. Is there any way to disable the warning or somehow add these sites to some kind of safe list?
